Privacy Policy

Talenval is a recruitment platform that helps hiring teams collect applications, screen resumes, run skills assessments and AI interviews, and manage candidates through a hiring pipeline.

This policy explains what information Talenval collects when you use the website and the app, and how that information is used. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@talenval.com.

Account information: when you register, we store your name, email address, company name and password (passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider).

Hiring data you enter: jobs, candidate details, resumes and files you upload, assessment questions, interview configurations, and notes your team adds.

Candidate data: when someone applies to a job, takes an assessment or completes an AI interview through a Talenval link, we process the information and files they submit on behalf of the hiring company that invited them.

Usage information: we count anonymous visits (one anonymous browser identifier per day, with no personal details) and record product usage events so plan limits work correctly.

Payment information: payments are processed by Paystack. Talenval never sees or stores your full card details; we store only the payment reference, amount and plan purchased.

To provide the service: screening resumes, running assessments and interviews, sending hiring-related emails, and showing your team its own data.

To operate subscriptions: applying plan limits, processing payments and top-ups, and preventing trial abuse.

To communicate with you: account confirmation, password reset, receipts, and hiring notifications you trigger. Candidate emails are sent from hello@talenval.com with replies directed to the hiring company's email address.

We do not sell your information or your candidates' information to anyone.

Assessments and AI interviews may record proctoring signals (for example webcam snapshots, screen-share or paste events) when the hiring company enables them. These signals are shown to the hiring company as integrity flags and are meant to be reviewed by a human, not used as automatic decisions.

AI-generated scores and summaries are assistive. Final hiring decisions always remain with the hiring company.

Your hiring data is visible to your own account and to team members you explicitly invite. Team members you invite can see shared jobs and candidates according to the role you give them, and lose access if your plan no longer includes collaboration.

Public pages you create (such as your careers page and job application links) are visible to anyone you share them with.

We use a small number of service providers to run Talenval: cloud hosting and database, email delivery, Paystack for payments, and AI providers for resume parsing, assessments and interviews. These providers process data only to deliver the service.

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete jobs, candidates, assessments and invites from within the app.

To delete your account and associated data, contact support@talenval.com from your registered email address.

Access to hiring data is controlled by sign-in and per-account permissions checked on the server. Private candidate links (assessments, interviews, shared dossiers) are gated by unique tokens.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix reported issues promptly. Report a security concern to support@talenval.com.

You can update your name, company and reply-to email on your Profile page at any time.

You can decline cookies or clear site data in your browser; sign-in requires basic browser storage to work.

Candidates who want their application data changed or removed should contact the company they applied to, or email support@talenval.com and we will route the request.

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new revision date. Continued use of Talenval after a change means you accept the updated policy.
